Over populated in every aspect one main street full of business that create lots of garbage all over the place including the beach. Bars restaurants hotels and of course beaches one of which is perfectly visible in our webcamthe streets of the city are filled with souvenir shops.

Jaco beach is very long with several places to rent surf boards and get lessons. Jaco beach and crocs was a great choice. The town itself is quite small but there is everything that is necessary for a good rest.

There is much more to do than just soak up the sun in costa ricas most popular and liveliest beach town. Costa rica is definitely getting expensive youre right but if you check out the smaller towns you can still find some great deals. This was our first visit to costa rica.

Jaco is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from san jose and one of its closest beaches. At night get even worst not for families at all drinking prostitution etc. Im going for a bach party in couple days any recommmandations on where to go to party first time in jaco not sure where to go.
